Services Description
Placing into Maintenance water cooled chillers, chilled water pumps, cooling towers, plate heat exchangers, roof mounted gas fired forced draught heating hot water boilers, heating hot water pumps, primary condenser water pumps, outside air dehumidification air handling units and passive chilled beams. Sheet metal duct exhaust and smoke spill systems all interfaced and controlled by BMS (Building Management System)

City Central - Tower 2

Project Description
Tower 2 is the second project to proceed in the Caversham Properties 6 billion dollar ‘City Central' development bound by King William, Pirie, Franklin and Bentham streets in the city. Replacing the old Advertiser building it will be a state of the art, 5 star rated, Greenstar, 14 story office tower.
Services Description
Westside has been appointed at the conception stage of this project to assist the design team in practical and budgetary terms. The 5 star rating will be achieved using a passive chilled beam cooling system served by high efficiency chillers with the mechanical services systems controlled by modern Building Management System.

The Advertiser Building
Project Description
New Advertiser and Sunday mail Building in Waymouth Street Adelaide. 5 story building with additional 2 levels of plant room and an underground car parking facility.
Services Description
Air conditioning plant comprising air cooled high efficiency chiller sets, gas fired hot water boilers and chilled and heating water pumps. Air distribution systems incorporating floor mounted air handling units, high efficiency dry media filtration, sheet metal and flexible ductwork, variable air volume terminal units and air diffusion equipment. Gaseous suppression exhausts system, kitchen exhaust systems incorporating stainless steel exhaust canopies. Fully monitored by building management system (BMS)

Australian Central Credit Union
 Project Description
New seven storey office building with underground car park at Light Square in the city incorporating integrated tenancy fitouts with general office areas, training / meeting rooms, work place cafes, dedicated communications room and banking chamber on the ground floor for the Australian Central Credit Union.
Services Description
Roof mounted air cooled chillers supply chilled water to air handling units in plantrooms on each level. The perimeter zone on each floor is serviced by active chilled beam induction units fed from a tertiary chilled water loop. Internal zones are serviced via supply air infuser boxes fed conditioned air from the air handlers complimented by supplementary chilled water fan coil units. Boilers located in the roof plantroom supply heating water to the air handling units. Ducted exhaust and outside air systems are installed to serve the basement carpark, various plant and designated rooms. Reverse cycle split systems air condition the Lift Motor Room, ATM, ground floor training rooms and computer room. A computerised Building Management System (BMS) has been installed to automatically control this building.

Ansett Call Centre
 Project Description
New office building and parking facilities for approximately 350 staff. Located at Technology Park in Bedford park the facility incorporates a call centre, training rooms, meeting rooms, cafeteria and dedicated communications room.
Services Description
Reverse cycle packaged and split style air conditioning systems incorporating economy cycles. Ducted exhaust and fresh air systems. Computerised Building Management System (BMS). Under ground reticulated Fire Service.
Sportsmed Administration Building
 Project Description
Major extension to Sportsmed's existing, two story, administration and day centre building. New extension incorporated additional ground and first floor offices with undercroft parking. Existing building section underwent an upgrade.
Services Description
The Mechanical Services portion of work consisted of the de-commissioning and removal of all of the existing, split ducted style air conditioning units from the existing building. A new Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) air condition system was installed throughout both the existing building and new extension. The outdoor units were roof mounted and connected to ducted fan coil units located in the ceiling space.
Thebarton Research Precinct
 Project Description
Two story red brick building located in the Uni of SA grounds in Thebarton. The building is attached to a large warehouse facility and is an administrative office facility.
Services Description
The Mechanical Services portion of the work consisted of the de-commissioning and removal central plant style ducted air conditioning systems located in purpose built plant rooms on each floor including the removal of roof mounted, evaporative, air cooled condensers. The new air conditioning system incorporated the use of split ducted style a/c systems configured into the various zones with roof mounted outdoor units.
EDS Office Building Fitout
Project Description 
Multi-story office building located on Adelaide's North Terrace.
Services Description
Undertaken over two floors the Mechanical Services works consisted of the modification and additions to the existing chilled water air condition system which consisted of individual air handler plant rooms and a chiller / boiler system located on the top floor plant room. Water cooled supplementary style ducted style air conditioning systems were installed serving new specialist tenancy areas. The work included expansion and modification of the projects Building Management System (BMS).
2 Greenhill Road
 Project Description
Typical “Greenhill Road” two story office block with undercroft parking and one of a number of similar projects undertaken by Westside.
Services Description
The existing building was serviced by split ducted a/c units that were not performing as an integrated a/c system. Westside's scope of work included de-commissioning a number of the existing a/c units and relocates them. This together with the supply and installation of additional new ducted a/c systems the provided the performance zoning required and additional capacity needed to suit the building's load. Westside also undertook the associated building works including ceiling removal and re-instatement and co-ordination with the building occupants. |
