Seaford Shopping Centre

Project Description
Major expansion and upgrade of the existing regional shopping centre including new shopping tenancies, Woolworths and Big W stores.

Services Description
The new tenancies and malls have ducted reverse cycle air conditioning systems installed while Woolworths and Big W each have a built up air conditioning plant served by open compressor sets and air cooled condensers.

Mitcham Shopping Centre

Project Description
Major re-build and expansion of the existing shopping centre that was burnt down in 2005. The new structure includes an IGA supermarket, numerous specialty shops and a two level underground car park

Services Description
The specialty shops and malls have ducted reverse cycle air conditioning systems and the underground car park includes ducted exhaust and make-up air systems. Our scope also included a new reticulated natural gas system.

West Lakes Shopping Centre

Project Description
Extension to existing shopping Centre complex with extensive fit out and upgrade of original shopping areas. Included relocation of existing plant room to new location maintaining conditioned areas in existing shopping centre. New plant and equipment commissioned prior to relocation of retained existing plant. Full changeover completed within 24hrs.

Services Description
Chilled water system consisting of air cooled helical rotary water chillers, primary chilled water pumps and insulated chilled water distribution pipe work supplying Air Handling Units in the field. Solid duct suppling Individual tenancies with VAV control boxes within. Fully integrated BMS monitoring system with Ducted exhaust and smoke spill installations.

Mount Barker Shopping Centre

Project Description
New shopping centre located at Mount Barker . The centre included two level car parking, K Mart store and specialty shops.

Services Description
Reverse cycle packaged and split style air conditioning systems incorporating economy cycles. Ducted exhaust and fresh air systems. Computerised Building Management System (BMS).

Coles Gawler

Project Description
An existing Coles Supermarket in Gawler that underwent a major refurbishment. The building is a single story structure with high ceilings throughout the large open floor space in the trading area. The trading area consists of general supermarket shelving, refrigerated and freezer space, service deli and checkout area. The refurbishment was a whole of store undertaking including a new customer café area and the upgrading of the bakery and meat process areas.

Services Description
The Mechanical Services upgrade included the removal of redundant a/c and ventilation systems and specialist cleaning of remaining ducting and equipment for re-use. New roof top packaged and split ducted style a/c systems were installed to complement the existing upgraded equipment. Various exhaust and fresh air systems were provided together with commercial stainless steel kitchen hoods. The entire Mechanical Services system is now controlled by a new Building Management System (BMS).

Bi-Li Kilkenny

Project Description
One of the larger stores in the Bi-Lo Supermarket chain. A converted Coles Supermarket the building is a single story structure with high ceilings throughout the large open floor space in the trading area. The trading area consists of general supermarket shelving, refrigerated and freezer space, service deli and checkout area. The refurbishment was a whole of store undertaking including a upgrading of the bakery and meat process areas.

Project Description
A regular sized metropolitan Bi-Lo store. This Supermarket building is a single story structure with high ceilings throughout the large open floor space in the trading area. The trading area consists of general supermarket shelving, refrigerated and freezer space, service deli and checkout area. The Mechanical Services portion of the refurbishment was to provide air conditioning to the store which was previously not conditioned.

Services Description
A large single split ducted style a/c systems was used to condition the trading area incorporating a fan coil units mounted on a new mezzanine floor and duct work to the space. The out door unit is located on the roof on a new structural steel support stand. General office areas are conditioned using a smaller split ducted a/c system. The installation also included general ducted exhaust systems serving toilet areas and a discharge duct system for the power generator.

Franklins Supermarket Marden

Project Description
A converted Bi-Lo store this Franklins supermarket was later converted to a Woolworths supermarket. This Supermarket building is a single story structure with high ceilings throughout the large open floor space in the trading area. The trading area consists of general supermarket shelving, refrigerated and freezer space, service deli and checkout area. Westside was engaged as the head contractor to provide air conditioning to the store which was previously not conditioned.

Services Description
As the head contractor Westside undertook the associated building works including manufacture and installation of new roof top structural support steel work, ceiling and painting works and roof penetrations. The new a/c system utilized a large roof top packaged a/c unit ducted throughout the store with exposed spirally wound ducting in the trading area. Westside worked in close liaison with the store manager with most of the work undertaken out of normal hours.

Burnside Village Shopping Centre

Project Description
Burnside Village is one of Adelaide's premier regional shopping centres. It has an open air appeal and consists of various specialty shops, café's and supermarket. This refurbishment included a major upgrade to the mall area and many adjacent specialty shops.

Services Description
The Mechanical Services portion of the works included modifications and additions to the existing split ducted and packaged a/c systems and the supply and installation of similar new a/c systems. Westside's work also included for the water reticulation for a new artistic waterfall and fountain.

Adelaide Central Market

Project Description
Bounded by Grote and Gouger street's in Adelaide's CBD the Central Market consists of over 150 market stalls, specialty shops, café's, Supermarket and dual deck parking facility over. The Market area was previously unconditioned. Westside was engaged as the head contractor and worked closely with Centre Management and stall holders in a difficult working environment with much of the work undertaken out of normal hours.

Services Description
The Mechanical Services installation consisted of a series or large roof mounted evaporative coolers to condition the markets stall area and new new smoke spill system. Our work included the manufacture and installation of associated structural steel platforms serving both the evaporative coolers and smoke spill fans. A new Mechanical Services Switch Board (MSSB) was provided including sub-mains to the board and power supplies to all new equipment.

Parade Central - Country Road Precinct

Project Description
This project was a major refurbishment to the Country Road specialty shop precinct which forms part of the new Cinema complex on the Parade at Norwood. The shopping centre was operational during constructions works.

Services Description
The Mechanical Services works included de-commissioning and relocation of existing split ducted style a/c units and the installation of new similar a/c systems to suit the newly refurbished specialty shops and mall area.
